Recently, the Ministry of Industry, Trade, Green and Digital Economy (MICEVN) of the Kingdom of Morocco has re examined the threshold requirements for lighting equipment. Whether lighting products are under control in their place of origin and whether they need to apply for a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) in their place of origin depends on the minimum threshold corresponding to the standards applicable to the lighting products.

If a lighting product is within the scope of application of both the Mineral Order and NM standards, but the threshold of the corresponding NM standard for the Mineral Order and the product is different, we need to refer to the threshold of the corresponding standard for the product to determine whether the product is regulated in the country of origin.
If the quantity or value of the product is lower than the minimum threshold corresponding to the standard, the lighting product is not under origin control, even if the threshold of the product exceeds the threshold corresponding to the Minor Order.
SGS reminds customers engaged in related product trade to learn more in advance and be prepared.
SGS, as an officially authorized agency in Morocco, executes the Product Conformity Assessment of Industrial Products Program (PCA) to verify whether all controlled products imported into the country comply with relevant Moroccan national standards and technical regulations. It issues a Product Conformity Certificate (CoC) for customs clearance of goods in Morocco.
